Office partition acoustics: where you actually need 42 dB

"We need an acoustically insulated meeting room" — common request. But what does that mean? Standard 10 mm glass gives 32 dB. Conversation through it is audible, intelligible, just quieter. For lawyers — insufficient. For open-space — fine. Levels broken down.

Biggest mistake — order a 42 dB partition with a standard 28 dB door. The chain is as strong as its weakest link. A truly insulated room is partition + door + ceiling + ventilation as one project.
