Mirror wall in interior: design considerations
Full-height mirror wall in living room or hallway. Single-panel sizing, mounting, install nuances.
A mirror wall in a living room visually expands the space 1.4–1.6×. In a hallway — 1.8×. In a closet — critically changes wardrobe routines. But "buy a 3×2 mirror at the store" and "make a proper mirror wall" are different jobs.
01Single-panel size
Max for 4 mm silver mirror — 2400×3210 mm (Saint-Gobain standard). That's 7.7 m². Larger needs jointed panels with minimal seam. 5 mm — up to 2200×3000 mm. 6 mm — up to 2000×2800 mm.
02Three mounting options
1. Full-surface adhesive — strongest, permanent. 2. Aluminium U-channel — removable for renovation. 3. Mirror screws with chrome caps — decorative, retro look.

Most common mistake: mirror wall opposite a window. Looks good in photos, in reality a sun glare hits your face every morning and the window appears twice. A mirror wall works best PERPENDICULAR to a window — extending the light without reflecting its source.
Anti-shatter film on the back is mandatory for mirrors larger than 2 m². CuOH-free silver coating prevents dampness darkening.
