Concealed-mount glass door: the door-from-wall effect
Door with no visible frame, flush with wall. Tech, 2026 prices, measurement gotchas.
Concealed (flush) mount means a door that reads as part of the wall. No visible frame, no architrave. Closed — nearly indistinguishable from the wall, open — just an opening. Hard to do, dramatic when done.
01How it works
An aluminium profile is recessed flush with the finish coat. Glass door hangs on concealed mortised hinges (Pinet 1130, Dorma TS 91). No top or side jambs. Profile is plastered and painted — outside you see only a 2–3 mm perimeter seam (or nothing with Eclisse Hideaway).
02Renovation requirements
- Wall thickness 100+ mm
- Hinge embeds during rough construction
- No electrical wiring within 50–60 mm of the opening
- Opening geometry ±2 mm (standard carpenter gives 8–10 mm)
032026 prices
| Config | Door only | With wall profile |
|---|---|---|
| Hinged 80×210 cm | from 56 000 ₽ | from 92 000 ₽ |
| Hinged 90×220 cm | from 64 000 ₽ | from 102 000 ₽ |
| Floor-to-ceiling 90×280 | from 96 000 ₽ | from 154 000 ₽ |
| Pivot 90×210 | from 78 000 ₽ | from 132 000 ₽ |
Don't confuse flush mount with floor-to-ceiling — different techs. Flush = no frame. F2C = tall door with regular hardware. Combine them for the premium combo (from 180 000 ₽).
