Seamless 4+ metre glass splashback: how it's done
Single panel up to 3.2 m or joined with minimal seam. Tech, price, gotchas for long kitchens.
Standard 4+ m splashback usually means 2–3 panels with 2–3 mm silicone seams. After 2 years the seam darkens and looks cheap. Seamless alternatives exist — two ways.
01Option 1. Single panel up to 3.2 m
Max tempered glass size on standard Russian line — 3210×2250 mm. Covers 95% of kitchens. Single 3.2 m splashback: from 14 200 ₽/m² solid, up to 18 400 ₽/m² UV print.
02Option 2. UV-bonded two panels
For 4+ m kitchens (lofts, private homes) — two panels UV-bonded with Loctite 350 at the joint. Seam 0.2 mm, transparent, near-invisible.
032026 prices for long splashbacks
| Length | Single panel | UV-bonded two |
|---|---|---|
| 3 m | from 27 600 ₽ | — |
| 3.5 m | from 32 200 ₽ | — |
| 4 m | — | from 49 200 ₽ |
| 5 m | — | from 62 400 ₽ |
| 6 m (two seams) | — | from 78 600 ₽ |
UV-bonded splashback isn't "tech for tech's sake" — it solves a real problem: long kitchens are standard in new builds, silicone seams look "budget." UV bonding gives a visually whole panel — premium result at +35% cost.
Real case: Vasilyevsky loft, 5.8 m kitchen. Two 2.7 m Optiwhite 8 mm panels with 30% graphite tint, UV-bonded centre seam. Total: 97 850 ₽ including crane lift through window.
